Head Coach
Coach Michelle Flores has a deep-rooted passion for basketball, having been immersed in the game since she was a young child. Growing up, her weekends were spent playing on the court, or watching her family members play at all different levels. Coach Michelle played basketball at Edmonds Woodway and continued on in her adult years by participating in the intramural league at the University of Washington, as well as the Puget Sound League.
Although Coach Michelle hung up the basketball shoes, her passion for the game never really went away. The opportunity to coach her niece’s pre-school basketball team arose, and introduced Coach Michelle to a different role in the game. It was in this moment that Coach Michelle realized how much of a positive impact she could make on the lives of this new generation. Not only is she able to share her knowledge and love for the game, she has committed to use this platform to ensure her team has the adequate tools to be the best people they could be on and off the court. To some, winning is EVERYTHING. Sure, winning is GREAT, however, Coach Michelle is a firm believer that basketball goes beyond athletic and physical ability; mental strength and confidence are just as, if not more important, to succeed.
Coach Michelle has always looked up to and learned a lot about the game from her brother, Coach Dennis. She’s always watched him work his magic from the bleachers and is excited for the chance to learn even more as she coaches alongside him.
In her spare time, Michelle and her husband enjoy traveling, attending concerts, sporting events, and spending time with family.
