Both of our boys were fortunate to be part of the Warriors program. The tryouts kicked off the program with so much positivity, fun, and even in those 2 days our boys learned and developed new skills.
Zack was on the 4th grade team and the team was his family. He developed more confidence in his game, built new friendships, and had such an amazing experience. This is so important as it even translated to both home and school, as he always looked forward to going to practice and the games.
Lucas was on the 8th grade team coached by Coach Harris, who was so knowledgeable and passionate about the game. Lucas learned how to shoot fundamentally sound, new finishing moves, new plays and his defense improved significantly because of the Warriors program. He also bonded with the team and created memories.
We highly recommend the Warriors program to anyone that wants their kids to learn the fundamentals of the game, be part of a winning program, and have great coaches that build a positive environment.
The Warriors program was instrumental in developing my son's basketball skills but more importantly, his life skills. He started with Dennis at the recreational level in 4th grade and progressed to AAU through 8th grade. The most important lesson he learned with Warriors was win or lose you work hard and respect others—even with other teams that might not always act right. Life lessons are what sports should teach kids. Winning is fun. Winning through hard work, consistency, and perseverance while doing with humility and class is a life lesson. Warriors teaches this. Forever grateful.
I can't believe that my 8th grade AAU leagues are all done. It went by so so fast from YMCA ball up to now. I still can't comprehend that it's done.
I can't appreciate Coach Dennis enough for coaching me all the way through all of my basketball as a YMCA player, scouting me and asking me to play then sticking with me for these 5+ years. Really, I can't thank you enough!
Another huge thanks to Coach Harris. It was so crazy how loud and into the game you are Coach, I still can't get over it! Still one of the fastest coaches I've gotten to know and be so cool with... I can't thank you enough for everything!
Teammates - I won't list all of you but I would like to say thank you so much for this journey and the ones I've been with for these 5+ years like Derek, Jarren, Jordan, Hunter and Ty. I really can't thank you guys enough!

My son Jordan was part of the Warriors program for the last 2 years. Being a part of this program allowed him to develop and grow tremendously as a player, knowing that his coaches, Coach Dennis and Coach Harris, believed in him and his abilities. You can see the true passion Coach Dennis and Coach Harris have for basketball through their coaching. They put their hearts into coaching all of these players! I am forever grateful we had the opportunity to apart of the Warriors family.
I want to thank Coach Dennis and Coach Harris for believing in me the last 2 years. Thank you for pushing me, even when I didn’t want to hear it. Your coaching and leadership have helped me become a better player and a better teammate.
To My Warriors teammates - Thank you for riding this journey with me. We battled together, we lost together, and we won together, but most importantly we made each other better! See you all on the court in high school!
It’s hard for me to believe that my time playing with the Warriors is over. From fifth grade to eighth I looked forward to our season, whether that was in the YMCA or whether it was out in AAU tournaments.
I would like to thank Coach Dennis for really motivating me to commit to basketball. You truly helped and pushed me to bring my game to the next level! Most of all I can’t thank you enough for the positive memories you helped create through basketball. When thinking about my time playing for you, I can’t think of one negative moment. You made the team feel like more than just a team, it was a family. I’ve used the lessons you taught me on and off the court. Thank you coach for always sticking with me and supporting me throughout all these years!
Additionally, I want to thank Coach Harris. I didn’t play under you for all that long but what I took away from it is truly amazing to me. You may have been hard on us sometimes, but I couldn’t thank you enough for that. I felt that when you were coaching me, I learned more than just basketball - I learned about life. So, thank you, coach! The time I played for you was a highlight of my eight grade year.
To all my Warriors teammates - It’s amazing to me how far we came, for some of us we started in the Warriors program when it was a rec team, back in fifth and sixth grade. But through our hard work and thanks to the work of Coach Dennis this program was made into something larger that I hope continues to grow! We fought hard together and never turned away from adversity. Thank you to all my teammates.
Thank you so much! Having played for a ton of AAU teams and competed against more through the years I am so thankful for this program and that we found it. It is very special and truly a family. I think watching our fifth graders cheer on the fourth graders was my highlight! Thank you for finding a way to provide an environment that balances high expectations with grace and kindness. I am hoping we will all be back in the spring.
Thank you so much for all you have done. I really think the Warriors is an amazing program that is helping grow the boys in such a positive way. Please send a thanks to Coach Craig, Chris, and Josh.
Both seasons Tahir was with the Warriors was amazing and that was no coincidence. It is because of the concept of the program. The coaches focused on team and individual growth, and I saw amazing growth in skill and confidence.
We really look forward to the what the spring brings. I am a huge advocate of this program and will do I can ever do anything to support, please reach out.
We are grateful for our son being wholeheartedly welcomed into the Warriors program this year. Being a new player, he had a phenomenal experience this season and only strives to continue to get better and better. His confidence, ball handling skills and mental attitude has improved and we know it is due to the amazing coaches that he had this season. Thank you to the Warriors for having a challenging, yet uplifting program to help make the kids successful going forward.
It has been such an honor and a pleasure coaching for the Warriors program and I am truly thankful to Dennis for giving me the opportunity. The Warriors program is a place where player development is most important and it was developed out of a true love for the game of basketball and a want to make a positive impact on players, not only on the court but off. From the leadership of the program, to the players and parents, I cannot say enough good things about the Warriors family and I know without a doubt that the program is headed in the right direction as one of the top AAU programs!
When our son started playing for the Mill Creek Warriors, the feeling of joining a warm and encouraging family was almost instant which was such a welcome surprise. You get a bunch of highly driven and competitive boys together, I would think it would be easy to make a cutthroat team focused on winning and pride. However, Dennis and the coaches always made it unmistakably clear that the focus was supporting each other and showing humble leadership. The boys were taught very strong work ethic but also allowed to be happy 10 year olds. We saw the boys grow in their passion and skill for basketball but also character.
As an organization, Mill Creek Warriors has been very welcoming, highly communicative (which is crucial in this setting), driven, and a wonderful choice for us a family. Let’s go Mill Creek Warriors!!!
